Pathogen contamination of water and related diseases are a significant water quality problem and, thus, a matter of worldwide research. In a paper published at Nanocon 2022, the team of the Institute of physical and applied chemistry, faculty of chemistry, Brno University of Technology, presents the usage of environmentally risk-free and nontoxic inorganic nanomaterials for removing pathogenic bacteria from freshwater and water environment. LVEM 5 and LVEM 25 helped by revealing the morphological properties of the nanoparticles.
